Business Development Manager

Poste proposé : Business Development Manager

The objective of the position:

  • Build an in-depth understanding of the regional sanitary market and business environment
  • Promote COMPANY’s sanitary products on the local and regional market (architects, general constructors, distributors, etc.) and establish COMPANY brand as a leading sanitary player.
  • Develop high-level contacts with local key stakeholders.
  • Together with the management, envision COMPANY's next steps of development in the area.
  • Achieve sales and pricing goals in the country by sales/ marketing plans to achieve long-term growth. The primary focus is to develop sales and build and manage a sales force.

The Business Development Manager will be in charge of

  • In-depth sanitary market understanding including trends, economic indicators, direct and indirect customers, supply chain, logistics, product range, market prices,
  • Business strategy propositions including value proposition, business model and logistics,
  • Promotion of COMPANY’s products & support to architects, general constructors, distributors, processors, etc.,
  • Cooperation with our agent and our commercial office in Europe whenever necessary,
  • Development of a broad and relevant network of local contacts, including key decision-makers,

    Requirements

    You have a solid entrepreneurial profile with strong commercial skills in BtoB environments, and ideally, you have relevant experience in the construction industry and proven experience in developing businesses in CIV, Nigeria, Ghana, and Senegal.

    • You can manage your daily work in a very autonomous and proactive way, while you easily detect situations where approval by management is required.
    • You ensure COMPANY’s compliance rules and maintain a high-quality service and brand image of COMPANY at all levels of your activity. Creative, ambitious, and comfortable with uncertainty, you are highly trustable and reliable.
    • Skilled at building partnerships, and politically savvy, you can initiate long-term business relationships.
    • Master's Degree in Engineering(civil engineering or Architecture)/Business/other to be evaluated.
    • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a sales position in the construction or architecture sector.
    • Relevant background in B2B environment (ideally building construction industry, ideally sales or marketing).
    • Proven experience in developing businesses in West Africa.
    • Sales & marketing oriented, strong commercial skills, and ability to compile business proposals.
    • Result-driven with excellent communication & networking skills.
    • Trustworthy and reliable, good work ethic.
    • Fast learner/dynamic/agile/self-started and ambitious.
    • Fluent in French & English
    • Valid driver's license.
