JOB SUMMARY
The Yard Person / General Laborer will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations and keeping a well-organized and maintained yard and shop area by performing general building and property maintenance, shop upkeep, and equipment operation.

What you will doday-to-day:
- Comply and enforce Occupational Health and Safety standards and practices.
- Assist customers with loading and unloading trucks and containers.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials, ensuring proper documentation.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, Loader.
- Operate Winch truck to move tanks/containers in/out of shop.
- Maintain outside grounds (remove snow, ice, and debris, spray and remove weeds.
- Assist the Parts, Service, and other departments, as needed, with cleanliness and organization.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of all equipment and machinery as required.
- Pressure washing duties as required, including but not limited to tanks, buildings, and vehicles
- Pick-up and delivery errands as required.
- Coordinate vendors for yard related items or Services
- Use a variety of hand and power tools.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
- Experience in developing Training Programs for a Transportation company is preferred.
Qualification:
- High School Diploma
- Valid driver’s license
- License/Training on loader, pacer or reach trucks would be an asset.
- Safety Oriented
Experience:
Warehouse/Yard 1 year (preferred)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Some overtime and after hours’ work may be required.
