Project Manager BMZ Dairy Development Project Location Batticaloa *This position is for a period of 5 months Job ProfileThis position is responsible to provide overall leadership and management to the grant project implemented in several locations in the country in accordance with grant contract and compliance to achieve the overall project goal.
S / he will provide strategic and operational leadership to develop and implement the BMZ Dairy Development’ Project successfullyMajor ResponsibilitiesDirect and oversee grant implementation, ensuring that all strategic objectives are met through proper design, staffing, implementation and quality assurance Provide critical guidance in enabling understanding, operationalizing, monitoring and managing the grant proposal and grant compliance with support from Grant team and project liaisonsDevelop Networks and relationships with relevant Government Departments, International consultants and World Vision Lanka (WVL) Area Programmes and departments to obtain necessary services for project implementationEnsure all assessments, baseline and evaluations are done following the set standards of the project in a timely mannerFacilitate regular discussions with International consultants, WVL technical advisors and the project team to ensure quality technical inputs for project implementationTrain project staff on all standards, policies and guidelines on regular basisManage grant / project budget within approved spending levels and ensure accurate and timely financial reports to donors and Support Office staffFacilitate the timely produce and submit monthly, mid - year and annual reports as per grant requirementRequired qualifications, experience & competenciesAt least 5 years of experience in Community Development, Program / Project Management or Coordination in a complex, international organization preferably in INGO contextA Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, International Development Studies or Community developmentKnowledge and experience in capacity building for local stakeholders / partnerKnowledge of and familiarity with international assistance program requirements, preferably ANCP / EU / BMZ funding and / or other funding agencies (Global Fund and other multilateral agencies);
